Rapper 50 Cent recently told the Canadian Press that he doesn't want to end up like the former Heavyweight Champion, Mike Tyson. 50 Cent, who happens to be good friends with Floyd Mayweather Jr., doesn't not want to emulate Tyson's financial downfall.

50 Cent bought Tyson's old mansion in Farmington Conn. for the price of 4.1 million back in 2003. The home is now again up for sale and the asking price this time is $18.5 million. As of yet, 50 Cent is having a hard time finding any takers.

With the economy in turmoil, 50 Cent has seen a lot of his investments dwindle, and with Tyson's downfall as a great motivator, 50 Cent remains conscious of all his financial decision.

Speaking recently to the Canadian Press, 50 Cent who is far from broke, stated: "I'm waking up in a room that was previously Mike Tyson's bedroom, a fighter who earned over US$500 million in his actual career, and when I purchased his house from him he was in bankruptcy." 50 Cent added: "If that's not a strong enough reminder for you, I don't know what's going to remind you to be aware of where you are financially and make conscious decisions."
