After witnessing Manny Pacquiao's victory this past Saturday, Floyd Mayweather Sr., still believes De La Hoya can beat Pacquiao. Mayweather Sr. believes that he could train De La Hoya to beat Pacquiao right now.

Quoted by David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press, Mayweather Sr. who wants to train De La Hoya again, believes he could get De La Hoya to take Pacquiao out in a rematch. Mayweather states to the publication: "I think I can take De La Hoya, to be honest, and beat Pacquiao." Mayweather said.

For the critics who think it would be impossible for Mayweather Sr. to train De La Hoya to beat Pacquiao in a rematch, Mayweather Sr. had this to say: "People might say, 'Oh, no, you can't,' but some of those same people said I couldn't make a change in (Ricky) Hatton in seven weeks. People change who want to change."

Mayweather Sr. added: "Do I believe Oscar could whip Pacquiao?' Yes."
