Ricky Hatton on how boxing Manny Pacquiao could box in Floyd Mayweather Jr

Ricky Hatton believes that if he lands a fight with Manny Pacquiao and defeats him, it could set up the rematch he desperately wants. That would be a rematch with none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. In a recent interview conducted by Ali Martin for the Sun UK, Ricky Hatton discussed both Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao.

In regards to Mayweather Jr. making a possible comeback to boxing and perhaps even getting a fight with Pacquiao befrore Hatton himself gets a chance, Hatton stated to the publication: “I’m not surprised Floyd is considering a return — but I’d be disappointed if he got in ahead of me "

In regards to a fight with Pacquiao, Hatton feels a victory could help him get the rematch he wants with Mayweather Jr. “If I win that (Pacquiao) fight, then I could strike a deal for a rematch with Mayweather," said Hatton, adding: "But that’s some way down the line."
