The highly anticipated fight between the Pound for Pound King, Floyd Mayweather Jr and the popular son from the UK, Ricky "Hitman" Hatton will go ahead on the 8th of December according to Hatton's Father, Ray Hatton.

Ray is quoted by the BBC stating that contracts have been signed.

"The contract provided what we wanted and we are officially signed up," said Ray, "and our lawyers have told us that the
Mayweather camp have also signed.

In regards to the date for the fight and venue, Ray admitted they were still waiting to confirm those details,
telling the BBC:

"Now we are just waiting for the date and venue to be made official."

Hatton's trainer Billy Graham, quoted in the BBC, was happy this fight is being made, stating:

"But this fight, between the best pound-for-pound fighters out there who are both at their peak, is the ultimate fight in boxing."

"I've always said Ricky wasn't a welterweight and I wasn't interested in going back up to that division unless it was [against] Floyd because he's not such a big guy," added Graham.
