In a recent interview with Telegraph Sport (UK), legendary trainer Freddie Roach spoke out on in depth about his dealings in trying to get the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight to happen.
Roach tells the Telegraph Sport that the bottom line is that his fighter, Manny Pacquiao doesn't really need Mayweather, but they do want the fight because Pacquiao wants the ultimate test. Roach insisted to the publication that Pacquiao wants the fight with Mayweather because it would offer him the "ultimate test".
Roach tells the UK Based Publication: "Look, this is a fight the world wants to see, I want to see, Manny wants to see, and it would be a real shame for boxing fans, and casual sports fans, all over the world, if it does not happen. I have been through this before and I hope we come out the other end with a positive from both sides."
