Recent rumors and reports portraying Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield 3 as a "done deal" has once proven to be bogus. (No surprise there!) Over the last few days some internet websites and newspaper reports have claimed that Tyson is returning out of retirement to face Holyfield in a 3rd match. Holyfield however is denying the latest reports.
Holyfield was quoted by Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review calling the latest rumors nothing but "a joke." Holyfield
has had absolutely no deal presented to him and regardless is not interested in a fight with Tyson because Holyfield is not in it for the money... he wants a title, something Tyson does not have.
Quoted in the Las Vegas Review Journal in regards to the rumors of a fight with Tyson, Holyfield styated: "No one's presented anything to me."
Holyfield went on to kill the latest rumor. "I hear things about Tyson all the time. But he keeps saying he's through with boxing, and me, I've moved on. I'm trying to win a championship, and Tyson doesn't have a belt. Right now, it's a joke," stated Holyfield.
