Boxing Results: Andre Dirrell defeats Arthur Abraham

On Saturday night at Detroit, Michigan's famed Joe Louis Arena, Andre Dirrell defeated Arthur Abraham by way of Dq (disqualification). Dirrell was ruled the winner after suffering an intentional foul and could not continue.

In the 11th round, Dirrell slipped to the canvas after being his with a what reports from ringside are calling a "glancing blow". While sitting down on the canvass, with his right hand, Abraham punched Dirrell on the chin. Dirrell could not continue after that. Ruled an intentional foul, Abraham would lose his first fight in 31 professional bouts. The intentional
foul came at 1 minute and 13 seconds into the 11th.

According to reports from ringside, before the stoppage, Dirrell was dominating the fight. The fight was part of the second stage of SHOWTIME's Super Six World Boxing Classic.
