In a recent column penned by Ricky Hatton for the Manchester Evening News, Hatton spoke out on many topics. One such topic Hatton hit on was Amir Khan's upcoming battle against Paulie Malignaggi.

Hatton who faced off against and defeated Malignaggi in the past, believes that Malignaggi will not pose much of a threat to Khan. Hatton is predicting that Khan will easily defeat Malignaggi.

In his recent column, Hatton writes in regards to Amir "King" Khan vs. Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi: "Another anticipated fight is the forthcoming Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi. Having beaten Malignaggi comfortably myself I do not envisage any problems for Amir and expect him to win easily."

Hatton was also surprised that TV Channel ITV will be broadcasting the fight. Hatton was expecting the fight on TV through the channel Sky Sports because ITV recently pulled out of telecasting boxing.

"I was surprised to read that the fight will be shown on ITV, who recently pulled out of boxing, I had presumed it would be shown live on Sky Sports," stated Hatton. Hatton added: "It will be interesting to see if ITV, or indeed any other terrestrial channels show any more boxing."

Hatton also praised TV channel Sky for "fantastic support they have given boxing in the UK over the last few years." The TV support has propelled the sport of Boxing in the UK, something that is not lost on Hatton.

On American TV... The Amir Khan vs. Paulie Malignaggi WBA Super Lightweight World Championship will be televised live on an HBO's Boxing After Dark telecast starting at 9:45 pm ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast). The bout goes down on Saturday, May 15 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.
