According to promoter Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao's proposed fight with Edwin Valero in Macau is off. Arum feels in order for Pacquiao vs. Valero to be viable, the fight would need to be staged around 10 to 11 am in Macau to ensure Pay-Per-View revenue in other time zones is not effected in a negative way.

Arum who was quoted in a recent article by Ronnie Nathanielsz, in regards to the fight being held in the early morning hours, stated: "We won't be able to attract the high rollers." The end result was to call off the planned match-up.

Arum is still planning to showcase three world championship bouts in Macau and stated two of the title fights will include fighters from the Philippines.

Fans can catch Pacquiao (46-3-2) in action later this month on Saturday, June 28 on PPV or live at The Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada when he faces David Diaz (34-1-1).
