In a recent column by Dan Rafael of ESPN.com, Rafael reports that Promoter Don King and Richard Schaefer the CEO for Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions have finalized a deal that pits Shane Mosley against Ricardo Mayorga.

Rafael further reports the fight is set for Oct. 11 on HBO Pay-Per-View and will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

King tells ESPN in regards to the fight deal: "That's done. The deal is done." King added to the publication that the split was 55-45 in favor of Golden Boy Promotions.

King then stated that after Mosley, Mayorga would move to the welterweight division to chase down a fight with Miguel Cotto. King tells ESPN: "We'll kick Shane's ass and send lonesome Bob (Arum) a message that we want Cotto and we are prepared to beat Cotto."
