Doctor expects Oscar Diaz to Survive severe Brain Injury

Oscar Diaz remains in critical but stable condition and is expected to survive the Brian trauma he received in his fight with Devlin Rodriguez, this according to Dr. David Jimenez. Dr. David Jimenez is the doctor who preformed brain surgery on Diaz.

Dr. David Jimenez, through the media stated that although Diaz remains in critical but stable condition, the young boxer is still in a coma. Dr. Jimenez said that he expects Diaz will survive his severe brain injury.

Diaz collapsed on Wednesday night before the 11th round of the USBA welterweight title fight against Delvin Rodriguez. After collapsing, boxing officials had Diaz rushed to the hospital. The surgery included removing a piece of his skull to relieve swelling comming from Diaz's brain.
