During a press conference on Wednesday to help hype Saturday's HBO Pay-per-view match up between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito, Cotto took some time out to discuss the recently retired, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Cotto would love to fight Mayweather Jr. but admits there is nothing he can do to force Mayweather Jr. to fight him.

"I can't force anyone to fight," Cotto stated in regards to Mayweather Jr. Cotto added: "He can choose whatever he wants, but in eight to 10 years, when the press and people see him and ask him to give them one reason why he wouldn't fight Cotto, he will have to answer."

Promoter Bob Arum who was also on hand stated he feels Mayweather Jr. will come out of retirement and back to boxing, but feels Mayweather Jr. will avoid fights a fight with Margarito and especially Cotto. Arum stated: "I think Floyd will come back, but not against either of these guys, especially Cotto."
