Joe Calzaghe confirms Roy Jones Jr is his Last Fight

Joe Calzaghe is indeed retiring this year. In fact his upcoming fight with Roy Jones Jr. on November 8th will be his last, as long as he looks good in the fight. On Thursday, Calzaghe confirmed he would hang up the gloves after his fight with Jones Jr.

Speaking at a media conference Calzaghe stated in regards to the Jones Jr. bout: "It's a massive fight and it will be my last."

Calzaghe hinted that if he doesn't put on a performance he likes, it may not be his last fight. Calzaghe stated: "I've known for a while when I want to go out and as long as I put on a great performance this is my time."

Calzaghe says he knows in his heart that this is the right time to end his career and would like to retire undefeated. "I know in my heart this is the right time to stop and my aim is to remain undefeated," said Calzaghe.
