Oscar De La Hoya beat Manny Pacquiao? Are you Insane? That's Crazy Talk!

Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao face one another on December 6th in what is shaping up to be an exciting encounter that fans won't want to miss. As the fight date approaches, I am simply amazed at how many people are counting Manny Pacquiao out against Oscar De La Hoya. I've read countless articles and posts on forums proclaiming De La Hoya will have it easy with the naturally smaller Pacquiao. That's utter crap. It's simply amazing just how stupid folks can be.

Look, I am the first to admit I am a bigger fan of De La Hoya than I am of Pacquiao. Still to count Pacquiao out is just foolish. In fact, it could be just crazy. Pacquaio has a lot going for him going into the fight. A huge factor is Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach.

Roach is no chump of a trainer and he knows De La Hoya well. If Roach sucked as a trainer, then you can bet De La Hoya wouldn't have paid him over 1 million to train him for his bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Training De La Hoya for his bout with Mayweather Jr. puts Roach in a unique position. Roach knows De La Hoya's fighting style well. He knows De La Hoya's limits, strengths and weaknesses. If Roach was some ordinary trainer, I wouldn't say it was much an advantage... but who would we be kidding? Roach is simply amazing.

With the exception of Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao gobbles up Mexican fighters. De La Hoya is going to have his work cut out for him. He is facing a younger fighter who is in his prime. A prime De La Hoya would run a number on a prime Pacquiao, but it's just not the case in 2008.

I don't see a knock out but I see De La Hoya getting out boxed and losing a decsion to Pacquiao. Pacquiao has too much riding in his favor.

If you agree with my prediction, or not... that's fine, but It would be crazy for you to simply count Pacquiao out.
