Joe Calzaghe takes on Roy Jones Jr. this coming November 8th at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York. Calzaghe is not only excited about facing Jones Jr., but also happy the fight is happening at MSG (Madison Sq. Garden).

Speaking to the Sun Uk, Calzaghe discussed many things, including why it was so important for him to fight in New York. Dropping names like Ali and Frazier, Calzaghe stated: "Every fighter and every
true boxing fan wants to fight at Madison Square Garden. The likes of Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, so many great fighters have fought there and I’m really looking forward to leaving my stamp on that place."

Calzaghe didn't stop there in giving his praise, explaining why it was New York over Las Vegas. Calzaghe stated: "It’s the Mecca of boxing. All the legends of the ring have been there. People were asking if I was going to go back to Las Vegas and fight in one of the big-money casinos but when the option came up for Madison Square Garden, I said I’ve got to fight there."
