MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas - Tonight on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez, Michael Katsidis defeated Vincente Escobedo by split decision over 12 rounds.
Both fighters fought well and it was a hard fight to score, but Katsidis seemed to be a little more aggressive. In the end the scores would be very different from each of the Judges at ringside.
With the victory, Katsidis' record improves to 25-2 (21 KOs) while Escobedo drops to 21-2 (13 KOs).
Judge's Scores: Duane Ford scored the fight 115-113 for Katsidis and Robert Hoyle scored the fight 118-110 for Katisdis, while Mike Fitzgerald scored the fight 116-112 for Escobedo.
