Freddie Roach is one amazing trainer. Many will tell you he is the best in the game, and you'd be hard pressed to find a reason to disagree. What Roach has done with his star pupil Manny Pacquiao is what legends are made of. Roach has taken Pacquiao from a lump of coal and pressed him into a fine grade diamond.

How important Roach has been to Pacquiao is not lost on the Filipino icon. At a recent training session at the Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, Pacquiao discussed what his relationship with Roach has meant to him.

Pacquiao feels that Roach is not just like a brother to him, but a father figure and best friend. "Freddie has been a father to me, a brother to me and an all-time my best friend," stated Pacquiao who went on to add: "I know he always has my best interest at heart. And he has always been there for me."
