Boxing Pay-Per-View Numbers Released for Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto - Amazing Numbers!

The Pay-Per-View purchase numbers for Manny Pacquiao's thrilling 12 round TKO of Miguel Cotto are in and the numbers are staggering. Pacquiao vs Cotto has proven to be the biggest Boxing PPV of the year, even out selling Floyd Mayweather Jr's 1 million PPV buys for his fight against Juan Manuel Marquez in September.

According to released information, Pacquiao's fight against Cotto sold an astounding 1.25 million PPV. The television broadcast of the event brought in $70 million, which will help both fighters earn even more.

Bob Arum who is the promoter for both Pacquiao and Cotto has confirmed to the Associated Press that Pacquiao will end up making around $22 million and Cotto will make $12 million for the fight, thanks due in part to a percentage of the PPV sales.

At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on fight night, the live box office also did very well, bringing in $8.84 million.

On another note, this coming Saturday November 21st at 10:00 p.m. ET/ PT, HBO will air a free video replay of Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto. The replay will also be shown in HDTV format (for those with TVs that can handle the HDTV stream.)

Also on HBO later this month: Lucian Bute (24-0-0/ 19 KO's) takes on Librado Andrade (28-2-0/ 21 KO's). The fight will be shown love on HBO this coming Nov. 28 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
