Although team Floyd Mayweather Jr is impressed with the Pay-per-view numbers Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel drew on TV (1.25 Million buys), they still believe their numbers are better. Leonard Ellerbe, adviser to Mayweather Jr. tells the Grand Rapids Press that in certain fights in which Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao had common opponents, Maywather Jr. proved to be the bigger draw.

Ellerbe pointed out the PPV numbers behind fights with Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Juan Manuel Marquez.
Against Oscar De La Hoya, Mayweather did 2.44 million in sales, whereas Pacquiao's fight against De La Hoya brought in 1.25 million. Mayweather Jr. scored 1 million buys for Juan Manuel Marquez, while Pacquiao managed 375,000 for the same opponent. Against Ricky Hatton, Mayweather Jr took 950,000 ppv, while Pacquiao took in 810,000 against Hatton.

Based on those PPV sales, Ellerbe tells the Grand Rapids Press: "Floyd clearly is the biggest star in boxing, based on the numbers against the same three common opponents." Ellerbe went on to add that numbers do not lie, people do... insinuating that Pacquiao's side was distorting perceptions.
