Manny Pacquiao fever is real. It's taking over the globe faster than the H1N1 swine-flu and shows no signs of slowing down. Recent statistics from Yahoo only bolster Pacquiao's massive appeal.
On the 2nd of this month, Yahoo's Top 10 most popular searches included Manny Pacquiao. It's not actually an easy feat to make the Top 10 most popular searches on any given day on Yahoo. Yahoo uses its popular search engine to gather statistics on which people, stories or events are the most popular. Using their own
research, Yahoo is able to compile a fair list that exemplifies the top searches on the net.
Earlier this week Pacquiao came in at number 5 on Yahoo's Top 10 searches. The number one spot was taken Meredith Baxter. She was everyone's favorite mom on the 80's sitcom "Family Ties." Baxter came out of the closet earlier this week and announced she is a Lesbian. (Good for you mom!) Nidal Malik Hasan who is accused of going on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, killing 13 came in at number 2 (what a total nut job). Iran came in at number 3, and mixed martial arts movie start Steven Segal who has a new tv Show debuting, came in at number 4.
