In a recent article published by CNN and AOL, legendary basketball player Ron Artest spoke out on the proposed March 13th HBO Pay-Per-View TV event, Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Artest who plays for the LA Lakers, is a huge fan of Boxing and was turned onto the sport at a young age by his father.

Artest is friends with and a fan of both "Money" Mayweather and "Pacman". Before he got caught up in Pacquiao's exploding career, he felt the only person who could beat "Money" Mayweather was Zab Judah. Artest stated:
"Before I caught on to Pac-Man's exploding career, I was a heavy Money May fan. I did not believe anybody could beat him. I did originally think Zab Judah could win because he was so quick." Artest went on to add: "But I think Zab was partying too much and it caught up to him in that fight."

Artest is so impressed with Mayweather Jr. that he feels "Money" could move up in weight and defeat Bernard Hopkins and Kelly Pavlik. "I also believe Money May could beat Pavlik and Hopkins if he ever moves up in weight," stated Artest.

In the same welterweight division, Artest thinks only Pacquiao can defeat "Money" Mayweather. Artest also feels "Money" Mayweather has the power to knock out Pacquiao. "My heart will pump faster if I see Pac hit Money, and if Money knocks Pac down I may break a sweat," stated Artest who went on to add: "Since I'm friends with both, may the best man win."

The only thing that upsets Artest about this fight? Artest, speaking like a true fan is upset that it is not happening tomorrow.
