Legendary UK Boxing Promoter Frank Warren always makes for a great read. In his most recent column penned for the Sun UK, Warren discussed assortment topics, including this decade that is set to come to an end as the New Year quickly approaches us.
In regards to which fighter he thought was the most outstanding from the UK over the last 10 years, Warren's pick was Joe Calzaghe. Warren giving high praise to Calzaghe even went as far to as to state that
Calzaghe deserves to be recognized with the best fighters in the world from the same time frame. A statement that many including myself, would find hard to falter.
Warren in regards to who he felt was the best UK fighter in the last 10 years, wrote in his recent column: "Calzaghe, for me he was the outstanding fighter of the decade in the UK, and has to be up there with the best in the world over the same period."
Calzaghe was promoted by Warren for most of his career. When Calzaghe retired earlier this year, he did so with an impressive undefeated record of 46 wins, with 32 of those victory being KOs.
