As first reported by MaxBoxing - BoxingScene earlier today, an injury to Zab Judah has canceled this month's fight with Shane Mosley. Now Doghouse Boxing has gotten official word via Golden Boy Promotions that the fight has indeed been called off. The HBO Pay-Per-View event was scheduled to take place on the 31st of this month at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas .

The reason the fight is being called off is because Judah suffered a serious injury that left him with multiple
severe lacerations on his right forearm. The injury which occurred in an accidental fall, needed a total of 50 stitches to seal the wounds.

Richard Schaefer , CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, released this statement today: “It is very unfortunate that Zab suffered this injury and that this great event had to be canceled.

Schaefer went on to add the fight will happen at a later date, stating: “We are already in discussions with all parties involved to attempt to reschedule the fight for the near future.”
