Joe Calzaghe wants Mikkel Kessler, just not in the ring. Calzaghe who is enjoying retirement from inside the ring, is still involved with Boxing thanks to his company, Calzaghe Promotions.

In a recent article penned by Calzaghe for the South Wales Argus, Calzaghe stated Kessler is someone he'd like to work with. "One guy I would really love to work with is a former opponent of mine, Mikkel Kessler,' wrote Calzaghe.

Calzaghe went on to explain that he feels Kessler is the best in the game right now, and would like to promote Kessler after his current contract with his promoter expires.

"For my money Kessler is by far and away the best super middleweight in the world and I understand he’s currently involved in a battle with his promoters for how long he is under contract. Down the line when his situation is less complicated, I would absolutely love to work with Mikkel, he’s a great fighter and a gentleman outside of the ring," stated Calzaghe.
