Carl Froch vs Bernard Hopkins?! Froch speaks out!
By Johnny Benz, Benz Report for Doghouse Boxing (July 6, 2009)
Carl Froch has made it clear time and time again that he is willing to fight Bernard Hopkins. Recently Froch and his team put in an offer for a fight with Hopkins, but have yet to hear anything formal back.

In a recent interview with Gavin Glicksman for the Sun UK, Froch admitted that Hopkins is basically no longer in his crosshairs "Realistically, Hopkins is off the agenda," stated Froch to the publication.

Froch stated Hopkins age of 44, coming down in weight and facing a younger fighter on top of his game, such as himself, is asking for trouble. "At 44, to come down to super-middleweight and fight someone like me who is at the top of his game is asking for trouble," said Froch.

Another problem Forch sees in getting a fight with Hopkins is the price Hopkins usually wants. Froch stated: "A lot of the time as well, Hopkins prices himself out a fight because he thinks he's the major player." Froch added: "He's someone I'd love to fight but I can't see it happening."
