After a long and spectacular career in the ring, Joe Calzaghe is enjoying his retirement from the sport. Although retired, Calzaghe still keeps his plate full, recently shooting a Nintendo Wii commercial with his son as well as attending numerous functions and countless photo shoots. At to all that, Calzaghe is also hard at work with his Promotional company.
In a recent interview conducted by Blair Wood for the Wales On Sunday, Calzaghe discussed what he misses and doesn't miss now that he has retired.
Calzaghe who has always been known for being sharp, witty and funny outside the ring, certainly does not miss being punched in the face: “I don’t miss getting punched in the face," stated Calzaghe, adding: "I don’t missing starving myself and I’m not missing running up those big hills."
So does Calzaghe miss anything? “I am missing the pay cheques and having 50,000 people screaming my name though,” stated Calzaghe.
