With Floyd Mayweather Jr officially out of the picture, due to sudden retirement, Oscar De La Hoya is fighting one more time this year and then he himself plans to retire from boxing. De La Hoya also plans to have his final fight at 154 pounds (70 kg).

With Mayweather Jr. out of the picture, speaking with Reuters in a phone interview, De La Hoya discussed some possibilities of who he may face in his final bout. De La Hoya named Manny Pacquiao and the winner of Antonio
Margarito vs. Miguel Cotto as possible opponents.

De La Hoya stated: "Manny Pacquiao is calling me out. He can jump up two or three weight classes and challenge me."

De La Hoya went on to add: "There's an interesting fight happening, Miguel Cotto against Margarito, that should be interesting to watch. Maybe I can get the winner. We'll see."
