Boxing Promoter Robert Waterman has had to postpone his show scheduled for Peterborough Arena on Saturday night.
Waterman said: “Due to circumstances outside our control, myself and the venue have decided it would be insensitive to go ahead with this weekend’s show in the light of the unfortunate incident in Peterborough several days ago. .
“We would like to thank the boxers and fans for their continued support.
“We will be meeting in the coming weeks to agree a future date and we plan to come back bigger and better.”
Waterman brought professional boxing to the city in March after a four-year break and more than 1,500 fans watched local favourites Cello Renda, Caine Brodie and Jake Dyer chalk up wins.
