It was
announced this week that Bobby Gunn Jr. will be reemerging onto the
boxing scene as he steps back into the ring the ring as part of an
action packed fight card hosted by Bad Boy Fights, taking place at the
Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona on November 30.
The amateur
sensation has had a bit of a layoff from the squared circle, but has
been unrelenting in his training to get prepared for his bout next
month.
Born and bred into a fighting family, Gunn Jr. displays
the same poise, dedication and perseverance shown through the career of
his father and accomplished former IBA Cruiserweight champion Bobby
Gunn.
To prepare for his upcoming return, Gunn Jr. has been working diligently with revered trainers Terrific Gist and Tommy Brooks.
“Boxing
takes unrelenting discipline and dedication, and little Bobby knows how
hard he has to work if he wants to accomplish great things in this
sport,” said Bobby Gunn. “He’s up early every day getting his road work
in, and gives it his all each time he goes to the gym.”
Gunn Jr.
got his start in competition boxing at the age of 9, and is eager to
make his return to the ring and embark on creating his own legacy in the
gloved sport.
November 30 may serve as a passing of the torch
from one champion to another as Bobby Gunn will corner his son in his
return. Gunn has found much success within the ring, and is confident
that his son has the experience, talent and drive to exceed all
expectations boxing analysts are already setting for him.
Bobby Gunn Jr. will step between the ropes Friday, November 30 at the Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona.
