London. Tyson Fury believes Kid Galahad has “all the capabilities” to be the “best thing since sliced bread.”

  Ahead of Kid Galahad’s British title showdown with English champion Jazza Dickens, the undefeated 6’9” heavyweight sensation took time out from his training camp and tipped Galahad as “the one to watch out for."

  “I think he’s the pick to be the next superstar – he’s got all the capabilities of being the next best thing since sliced bread,” Tyson said.

  “To all the world champions:  Kid Galahad’s the one to watch out for, it isn’t the likes of Scott Quigg and Frampton, it’s my man Kid Galahad.”

  The undefeated Galahad, 23, puts everything on the line when he faces the similarly unbeaten and talented Dickens for the infamous Lonsdale Belt at the Magna Centre, Rotherham, Saturday the 14th of September, live on Channel 5 from 8pm and Tyson believes Kid will show that he is ready for anyone.

  “I can tell you what you can expect from Galahad, a very good boxing display, sharp punches, flashy eye-catching combinations, footwork,” Tyson said.

  “In my opinion after this fight, he’s ready to take on all the best in the division - I tipped this kid when he was 1 and 0 and he’s now moving on in levels.

  “He’s already the WBC International champion and you’ve just got to watch this space and watch what he does to Jazza Dickens on the 14th of September.”

  The former British, Commonwealth and Irish heavyweight champion Tyson, now 25, is in Belgium as he prepares for his all British super-fight with former WBA world heavyweight and former undisputed world cruiserweight champion David Haye at the Phones 4U Arena Manchester on September 28th and admits he has the “prefect” camp ahead of his crunch clash.  

“Training camp is going really well and I’m enjoying myself – I can feel myself getting fitter, stronger, more muscle, faster, sharper, better thinking - I’m a machine and doing what’s got to be done and I’m just getting on with it,” Tyson said.  

“I’m eating everything I should be, I’ve no injuries, we’ve got a good atmosphere, all the guys are in a good mood and spirits are high.  

"Everybody’s connecting and it’s a good place to be - it really is the perfect preparation, I couldn’t have asked for any better."  

Also supporting Galahad when he fights for the British super bantamweight title at Magna, will be hot middleweight sensation Chris Eubank Jr in his 11th professional contest and current World Youth super-heavyweight champion Hughie Lewis Fury in his ninth outing as a pro, as well as a whole host of local talent on the undercard.
