Sherman Oaks, CA - Former world title challenger Vanes "The Nightmare" Martirosyan opened the doors to his training camp to the Los Angeles media on Tuesday afternoon, just ten days prior to his return to battle at "HOMEWARD BOUND" on Friday, MARCH 21 against Mario "Aguila" Lozano at the Morongo Casino Resort Spa in Cabazon, California and televised LIVE on ESPN Friday Night Fights presented by Corona Extra.

Joining Vanes at the Ten Goose Boxing Gym in Van Nuys, California were promoter Dan Goossen of Goossen Tutor Promotions and new trainer Joe Goossen.  Below are quotes from all three participants.

Vanes Martirosyan:

"This is the first time in my career I feel like a professional. Even though I've had a lot of fights, 33-1-1, I have a good team, with a new promoter, working with Joe Goossen, I feel like I'm finally home and it makes me feel like I'm a professional and I plan on showing everyone with my performance on March 21."

Dan Goossen, President of Goossen Tutor Promotions:

"Right now it's not about only winning, it's making a statement in victory. And on March 21st, I believe Vanes is going to do just that. I've been following his career for a long time, I believe it was a great signing for the company and what he's done in the past is nothing to what we expect to see from him in the future.  On the 21st we are going to see a rejuvenated world-class fighter in the ring at Morongo on ESPN."

Joe Goossen, Trainer of Vanes Martirosyan:

"I've had the opportunity to work with world champions and world contenders. The work Vanes is putting in right now is exceptional and he is on his way to becoming a world champion. He has great foot movement, quick hand speed and a dynamite right hand...all the elements of a future world champion."

Martirosyan vs. Lozano, a 10-round junior middleweight bout is presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions.

Advance tickets for "HOMEWARD BOUND" are priced at $55 (sold out) and $35 (less than 100 left) with a $1.50 service fee if purchased from the Morongo Casino Resort Spa Box Office (Phone 951-755-5391).  Regular fees apply through (Ticketmaster).  Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Morongo Casino Resort Spa (888-Morongo).

Doors on the night of the event will open at 3:30 p.m. with the first bell at 4:30 p.m.
