Sergio Martinez offers Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Boxing rematch

By or provided from SecondsOut.com on Doghouse Boxing. World middleweight champion Sergio Martinez has offered Julio Cesar Chavez Jr a rematch.
The 37 year convincingly out-pointed Chavez Jr over 12 rounds despite being knocked down in the 12th and final round at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Saturday.
“We’ll have the rematch whenever he wants. We are both professionals,
and we are going to take this seriously. He showed he has a great heart
and he has a great punch” Martinez said.
Martinez dominated eleven rounds of the fight, but in the 12th,
Chavez Jr connected with a big left hook, which dropped him hard, with
twenty seconds remaining.
“Hitting the canvas is part of boxing, but I executed a great fight” Martinez added.
Martinez earned 1.4 million USD and a share of PPV income.
“I have to admit that he was a very tough fighter, I did not expect him to be that hard to beat,” added Martinez.
Although Chavez Jr., 26, admitted that he had a great opportunity to get a historic victory, he ran out of time.
"That’s what I lacked to win," said Chavez Jr. "I deserve a rematch and we will ask for it.”
