Boxing Icon Mike Tyson gets Denied

banned from entering New Zealand because of his conviction for rape.
The 46 year-old was originally granted a visa to enter New Zealand
but after petitions by Women’s Anti Violence groups Associate
Immigration Minister Kate Wilkinson bowed to the pressure and revoked
Tyson’s visa.
Tyson was scheduled to make his first trip to New Zealand next month
to speak at a day of champions event where he was to perform his one man
show, ‘Mike Tyson Undisputed’. Tyson was sentenced to six years in
prison back in 1992 for the rape a of an 18 year-old beauty contestant
in Indianapolis hotel room.
