WBC middleweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez will arrive in Tenerife, to support the members of his team fighting on a boxing card at the Pabellon Pancho Camurria on October 27.

Ibrahim Lopez will fight for the National Spanish cruiserweight title and Ivan Ruiz will fight for the WBC Latino title.
Martinez will return to the place that is like a second home for him.

“Everything looks so different when you are at the top of your career. I’m 37 with 100 fights fought. In addition to the experience of competition I possess, I’m aware I still have a few more fights of the highest level, with supreme physical and mental demands. But all this co exists with Boxing promoting,” Martinez said.

He also explained: "The positive turning point in my career was the day I understood how this business works as an industry. From my privileged position, I have an overview perspective of boxing enabling me to offer advice to our fighters. Each and every one of us knows that success is achieved through effort and work with a great deal of discipline."

Martinez admits that the only recipe for success in boxing is to "train, train and train, have obedience and secure faith in your team, have humility, courtesy and respect. Any boxer without those capabilities, better look for something else.

“We are a winning team. We do not know what it is to lose and if we lose it has to be at the cost of having put everything into each working session”. “With all this working philosophy we will present a card on October 27 in Tenerife” Martinez said.
