By John Hannen. Glenn Foot (pictured) will win the forthcoming Prizefighter
competition – that’s the view of the Sunderland puncher’s manager, Phil
Jeffries.
Foot, undefeated in seven fights with four KOs, will take on seven
other welterweights in the knockout tournament on January 19 in
Wolverhampton, and Jeffries sees Foot as a cert to be the last man
standing.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Glenn and I must thank my fellow
promoter Eddie Hearn for giving us the chance to be involved,” stated
Phil.
“Glenn’s style is made for the three-round Prizefighter format and,
although there are some very good boxers involved, I really can’t see
anyone else winning.
“He can bang and is aggressive from the very first bell and if you
haven’t seen Glenn box before then you should expect fireworks!
“I guarantee that after Prizefighter Glenn will have a whole new
fanbase and hopefully we can get him a great new promotional deal.”
