Tyson Fury believes a heavyweight showdown between himself and British rival David Haye will be the biggest fight in world boxing and a bigger fight than if either of them challenged for the world heavyweight titles against Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko.

The unbeaten 25 year-old has so far chalked up 21 straight wins in as many starts and has said the fight is ‘very close’ to being finalized-that being the case Fury insists it will be the biggest fight of 2013.

Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports Ringside programme, Fury said: "It’s the only fight that would ever make sense for Tyson Fury right now. "I’ve fought the two Americans, the top Americans, and I’ve been to New York and fought at Madison Square Garden and now I’m ready to take over the division.

"There’s only one heavyweight in the world and that’s me. I’m the one to beat and nobody in the world can compete with me and I’m going to prove that."

Fury added: "If this fight does happen then I think this fight will be the biggest fight ever to enter a British boxing ring. The British fight fans and the British public are in for a real real treat.

"When it comes to talking there’s no one better than me and David Haye for entertainment and excitement. It’s a 50-50 fight, we’re all-action fighters and when we do get in there it will be a war, like the words will be."

If as expected that the fight does happen in September the bookies will almost certainly make Haye the pre fight favorite but Fury insists he is the No.1 British heavyweight and will prove it on the night.

"As far as I’m concerned I’m the No 1 heavyweight in the UK," said Fury."David Haye is a pretender and a celebrity who likes to live a celebrity’s lifestyle. But I’m an active fighter and it’s a man who’s had two fights in two years against a man who’s had lots of fights in two years. I’ve been busy against world class fighters and it will tell on the night."

If for some reason the Haye fight does not happen who else will Tyson Fury turn his attention to?

"There’s nobody else if the Haye fight doesn’t happen. The only fight that might make sense is Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko,” said Fury.

"I don’t see anybody else to fight. And actually, I don’t think either of the Klitschkos would be as big as me and David Haye. It’s the biggest fight in boxing across all divisions and I can’t think of any other fight that anybody would want to see.

"There’s only one heavyweight in the world and that’s me. I’m the one to beat and nobody in the world can compete with me and I’m going to prove that. I’ve been an underdog many times and I’m ready to take on anybody. I do believe in my heart of hearts that the Klitschkos won’t fight me."
