The eagerly awaited British heavyweight showdown between bitter rivals David Haye vs. Tyson Fury is on, an official announcement will be made at a press conference in London on Thursday (July 11).
Tyson Fury and David Haye, both world-ranked, charismatic and vocally superior to any other heavyweights in the world today, have agreed to a showdown on Saturday, September 28 at the Manchester Arena. It marks not only the biggest heavyweight encounter of 2013, but also the biggest fight staged in Britain for many years.
Manchester’s Fury boasts a perfect professional record, winning all his 21 bouts to date with 15 of them ending inside the scheduled distance. The 25-year-old is a former British, Commonwealth and Irish heavyweight champion and is a born entertainer - inside and outside of the ring.
The 32-year-old Haye, meanwhile, is a hard-hitting former WBA heavyweight champion of as well as the former WBC, WBA and WBO cruiserweight titleholder. The Londoner has finished 24 of his 26 professional victories via crushing knockout and suffered defeat only twice.
Further information regarding the bout between Fury and Haye will be revealed at Thursday’s press conference, where both boxers will be present and are sure to provide much vocal entertainment.
