Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock Fight in EliteXC on CBS will be a huge MMA event as Kimbo Slice leads the fight world back into primetime TV October 4th. Kimbo Slice has some holes in his fight game but his popularity continues to soar. Shamrock is well past his prime but he has enough skills to make this fight interesting. The shoot-fighter Shamrock has lost his last 5 fights but he is still a strong and tough bastard. Kimbo Slice showed some vulnerability in his ground game before he busted open a bum’s cauliflower ear with a crushing right hook in his last bout. Slice has been working under the guidance of MMA legend Bas Rutten but at 34 year-old, Slice's learning curve is steep. If Ken Shamrock has anything left in the tank this fight should be a war.

Despite Kimbo Slice’s doubters, Slice is on fire right now with the former street fighter turned MMA fighter prepares for his biggest fight against Ken Shamrock in Sunrise, FL. Slice has become a cult hero for fight fans world wide thanks to his taped underground fights in the streets of Miami that have been watched on YouTube like video crack. Blood, broken eye sockets and grown men cowering under bare fisted assaults are common place in Kimbo Slice fights. Slice is a hulking physical presence standing at 6'2 and weighing around 270 Lbs. of thick layered muscle. Slice’s boxing hero is Mike Tyson and his style of fighting is similar to Tyson’s as he likes to bob and weave with his hands high looking to land his best punch, the left hook.

Slice’s documented bare fisted boxing record is 7-1 with his lone loss coming by way of submission against a tough veteran fighter named Sean Gannon. Gannon took a beating on his way to victory with a badly cut and swollen face but he exposed Kimbo’s Achilles heal: Stamina. In his two-fight MMA career the former football player Slice is 4-0 with an impressive 1st round submission over former heavyweight contender Ray Mercer when he showed off his new ground skills.

The 34-year old is a good athlete with decent speed and any man that has a hunger for cash and a love of hitting like Slice does, is very dangerous. Slice has a good training team around him and he can only improve with time and improved conditioning. Kimbo Slice will look to make the most of his second appearance on national TV with a bloody KO over the washed-up MMA legend Shamrock. Will Kimbo Slice seize the moment and show he is for real in front of a hometown crowd?
