Popular Super Middleweight Jermain Taylor will be in a make or break fight Saturday October 17th against Arthur Abraham. Both fighters are part of a six-man Super Middleweight tournament that will be aired on Showtime. Taylor, 28-3-1, 17 KO’s, will travel to Germany to fight the rugged Abraham, 30-0, 24 KO’s, in his backyard. The Arthur Abraham vs. Jermain Taylor betting line has Abraham as a -300 favorite.

Arthur Abraham is a gritty counterpunching slugger that has great power. Abraham works behind a high guard and intelligently catches punches on his arms, gloves and elbows before retaliating with dynamite combinations. Abraham is not fast or flashy but he knows his way around the ring and finds ways to land hard punches that wear down opponents. Abraham is not a very fluid athlete but he has incredible stamina and punch resistance. The Arthur Abraham vs. Jermain Taylor Over\Under is at 11.5 rounds with the Under at -120.

Jermain Taylor is rangy, fast and imposing athlete with great upper-body strength. Taylor’s mind scrambling right uppercut, overhand right and heavy left jab have helped make Taylor a rich man. Despite his fine offensive skills, Taylor has become a more cautious fighter that tends to get caught on the ropes too often and run out of gas late in fights. Taylor has above-average defensive ability but his balance is only average and he can be predictable. Taylor does have a good set of whiskers but he has some wear and tear on his body.
