by Uncommon Thinking

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.)  The evolution of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) Americas and its four franchises of Miami, Memphis, Mexico City and Los Angeles took a major step forward today as the Miami Gallos became the first of four teams to launch their organizational website.

The debut of all the team's new official websites will be unveiled throughout the week, starting with the Miami Gallos (www.miamigallos.com). The Gallos expect that their new innovative site will help influence boxing fans in South Florida. The Memphis Force will unveil their new site Wednesday, followed by the Mexico City Guerreros on Thursday and the Los Angeles Matadors on Friday.

"The creation of our team website only adds to the brand awareness we are building for the Miami Gallos and the World Series of Boxing," said Miami Gallos General Manager Mike Sophia.  "The website will provide fans with a closer view of the team, while at the same time conveying the message of what the WSB is all about and what it's trying to accomplish for the sport of boxing."

The Miami squad was the first to reveal their official team name - the Miami Gallos, which loosely translated means gamecock.   With a catchy team name and a new, flashy website, the Gallos are hoping that the unique identity and the fast pace, exciting action of the WSB will connect well with their local culture, community and fans.

The Miami Gallos sit in third place with a 3-3 record on the season and will return home to fight again on February 5 against the Memphis Force.  Before that, the team will be on the road to face the Los Angeles Matadors on January 27.

Features of the new sites include boxer and team information, schedules, results an enhanced media and social media sections as well as an online store featuring team apparel and merchandise.

"The websites provide a great platform to showcase the sport of boxing, the team brands, and the overall Series," said Bob McKamey, Concept Director at UnCommon Thinking®.  "With the websites we wanted to make sure we captured the boxing culture, and delivered a design that would appeal to fans and help energize the new Series. As the WSB continues to grow and gain more fans, we look forward to a great partnership and evolving the sites to meet their needs."
