|Ermano Fegatillo Speaks - How his Big Nose got him into Boxing and More

Ermano Fegatillo has revealed he took up boxing after his dad refused to pay for surgery to make his nose smaller. It was a good decision with Fegatillo now sniffing around Stephen Foster Jr’s European super-featherweight championship. The Belgian brain box who holds a Masters degree in Economics challenges for Foster Jr’s crown in the Premier Suite at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on Saturday February 26.
Fegatilli has won 22 of his 26 fights since turning professional in April 2005 proving he nose his way around the ring.
He recalled: “I started to box when I was 14-years-old. I was born with a big nose and when I was a teenager I had a lot of hang ups with it.
“So one day, I asked my father to pay for cosmetic surgery, but he told me to take up boxing and that is how I got my nose and here I am years later.”
Fegatilli, 26, always enjoyed watching boxing before he took up the sport. His dad was a top class amateur fighter and a close of friend of Jean-Marc Renard, one of Belgium’s greatest ever fighters.
Foster Jr’s mandatory contender added: “I always grew up in a pugilistic environment.”
Also fighting on the bill is Mancunian Olympic star Joe Murray. He is up against tough Frenchman Daniel Kodjo Sassou who recently took Scott Quigg 12 rounds.
Others hopefuls on the undercard include Belarusian star Sergey Rabchenko,Keiron Maher, Richard Towers, Sheffield’s big ticket seller Adam Etches and Dezzie Higginson
