Martinez vs. Dzinziruk, Lee vs. McEwan - ‘Diamond Elite’ attracts worldwide media publicity

MASHANTUCKET, CT (Mar. 12, 2011) – The rising popularity of World Boxing Council (“WBC”) and The Ring Magazine middleweight champion, 2010 Fighter of the Year “Maravilla” Martinez (46-2-2, 25 KOs), has never been more evident than now as he prepares to step into the ring tonight at MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods against World Boxing Organization (“WBO”) junior middleweight champion, Sergiy “Razor” Dzinziruk (37-0, 34 KOs), in the 12-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Council Diamond middleweight title.

Martinez-Dzinziruk as well as an exciting middleweight match-up between Andy Lee(24-1, 18 KOs) of Ireland and Scotland’s Craig McEwan (19-0, 10 KOs), squaring-off in the 10-round “Celtic War” co-feature, will be in action on tonight’s HBO World Championship Boxing starting at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT.

Tonight’s event has attracted major, international attention. Major newspapers have featured stories like USA Today, New York Post, New York Daily News, Newsday, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Wall St. Journal, and Forbes.com picked-up an Associated Press story on the fights.
