Junior Witter: Lynes will be looking for revenge

London (May 3) Sheffield’s former world champion Junior “the Hitter” Witter knows that British champion Colin Lynes will be looking for revenge when the pair meet at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Saturday May 12.

When they last met back in October 2005 Witter emerged victorious to capture the British crown as well as retaining his European and Commonwealth light welterweight titles.

“It’s strange how things work out but I know he will be looking for revenge, but it’s my time to show I’m back and by beating him for the second time it will demonstrate that the Hitter is certainly back.” Said Junior

When asked how he sees the fight going Witter replied “It really depends on how he brings it, but then again I don’t care I just know I’m gonna win.”

The Ingle trained fighter who has been involved in over 17 title fights throughout his career is hoping that winning the British title for a 3rd time will propel him to a world title shot.

“I know I’m not getting any younger and the kids are all turning into men and there's also a new set of kids behind them, so things are just as hard as always but I’m having to change and learn new things every day if I’m to stay one step ahead, as they all know the old moves.

“I have to keep on it and switching it up if I’m to fulfil my goal, which is to be fighting for a world title again.” added Junior Witter
