CHICAGO, IL (May 5, 2010) Angel “Toro” Hernandez celebrated “Cinco De Manfredo” on Wednesday in Chicago as he prepared for his IBO Middleweight Title showdown with Peter “The Pride of Providence ” Manfredo Jr. on Saturday, May 22nd at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.

“It’s called Cinco De Mayo, but this year we’ve changed the name slightly. I’m ready for Manfredo and come May 22nd he will feel every bit of the Chicago heat” said Hernandez, a native of San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Hernandez looked very sharp and was in great spirits as he worked the ring against three different opponents over ten rounds of sparring.

Continued Hernandez, “I’ve had problems in the past with my weight, but I’m at 165 right now. I’m in great shape and ready to fight.’

Presented by TKO Boxing Promotions as part of their “HOMETOWN HEROES TO WORLD CHAMPIONS” nationally acclaimed series, the Manfredo Jr./Hernandez twelve round title bout headlines an outstanding evening of world class professional boxing.

The co-main event features the return of Matt “The Sharp Shooter” Remillard who will defend his NABF featherweight title against Carlos Rivera in a ten round bout.
