Manny Pacquiao - ABC News Nightline's Daily Line to Feature Pacquiao
By Media Report on Doghouse Boxing (May 11, 2010)
Nightline's plan for tonight currently includes a profile of boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao -- shot with him in his native Philippines in the run-up to a victorious congressional election.

That's right, the man considered by many to be the world's best pound-for-pound boxer, is now also an elected official in a country where his star is difficult to exaggerate.

And that's exactly why Clarissa Ward traveled there. We'll have an inside look at the rags-to-riches story that goes well beyond boxing, into song and screen and as of today government.

Meanwhile, for boxing fans, there are new reports about talks between the Pacquiao camp and Floyd Mayweather's team about the two boxers finally meeting in the ring.

Pacquiao's reluctance to submit to blood testing before the fight derailed the match-up last time. Mayweather implied that Pacquiao was doping.

So will they find a meeting of the minds on a mega-fight that would earn each millions? We shall see.

Will embed the segment in the morning. For now, here's a John Berman stateside report about the boxer for "GMA" http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video.
