Brian "The Beast" Minto dominated Jermell Barnes
By Media Report (July 13, 2005)

Heavyweight Brian "The Beast" Minto dominated Jermell Barnes from bell to bell to win an impressive 8 round unanimous decision (80-72, 79-73, 79-73) in front of a capacity crowd at a Duva Boxing promoted show in Butler, PA. The Beast was in control throughout and had the durable Barnes in trouble on several occasions. Minto, now 20W-1L-11KO, has looked impressive in his last two fights after coming off a controversial split decision loss to former Heavyweight Champion Tony "TNT" Tubbs in late 2004.

Tom Yankello was reinserted as head trainer by Minto after a one fight absence in the Tubbs fight and it has shown in his performances. Yankello, most known to this point for developing former lightweight king Paul Spadafora and heavyweight contender Calvin Brock, held the head position through Minto's undefeated reign including last years fight of the year candidate knockout victory over Vinnie Maddalone.
