Roy Jones Jr vs Joe Calzaghe - Official Update
By Media report on DoghouseBoxing (Oct 13, 2008) DoghouseBoxing.com
Back in action November 8, 2008 is Haitian boxing prospect, Daniel “The Haitian Sensation” Edouard as he showcases his skills on the Roy Jones Jr./Joe Calzaghe card televised live on HBO PPV at Madison Square Garden, NY.

Edouard, one of boxing's bright stars, is remembered for energetic fights and an epic battle with Bernard Hopkins' cousin, Willie “The Gladiator” Gibbs that lasted only four rounds but kept the Mohegan Sun Casino
crowd on its feet. The bout, capped by an Edouard KO of Gibbs, was spectacular!

Since the win, Edouard has undergone severe managerial setbacks that limited his career to only three fights between 2006 and 2007. Now finally free of his management delays, Edouard is back in the ring. He is working exclusively with legendary trainer Panama Lewis and appears more refined as a fighter and has grown into his middleweight body.

After a first round destruction of hard hitting Columbian KO artist Francisco Osorio in late September 2008, Edouard quickly signed to take on Pennsylvanian hit-man Alphonso Williams on the Roy Jones Jr./Joe Calzaghe HBO PPV card.

“It's been rough for a while but fighters fight! I'm a fighter! It's time for me to start fighting again! Williams has a good chin, good skill and is aggressive. I've got to be ready to fight. I will be ready to fight! Some people have forgotten about me. It's time to give them something to remember!”

Edouard brings a crowd pleasing style to the ring and television. “Its great to have power in both hands but you've also got to have skill as a boxer. Panama has helped me get that. Fans have always supported me. I'm back, feeling great and truly blessed.”
