SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- Felix "Tito" Trinidad has returned to the ring, but this time as an actor not a fighter.

According to published reports from The Associated Press: The former middleweight champion went a few rounds while filming scenes Tuesday for the upcoming independent film "Santito," which is due in theaters in his native Puerto Rico and overseas early next year. Trinidad has a supporting role in the film. The Accoicate press quotes Trinidad as saying "a little strange" in regards to Tito being questioned about stepping back into the ring for the first time since losing back in May to Winky Wright.

Trinidad did brushed aside any comments or ideas of a comeback in Boxing as a fighter.

"As a boxer, 'Tito' Trinidad is retired, but as a promoter, manager or trainer, who knows if they'll see me doing something," he told reporters at his San Juan gymnasium.

When contacted about a role in the movie: "I told them I would do it as soon as they contacted me."

Trinidad who will appear in about 15 minutes of the Film took the acting role without pay.
