UNCASVILLE, CT (November 9, 2005) – Mohegan Sun and Gary Shaw Productions, in association with Goossen-Tutor Promotions, present “All for One!”, a sensational night of boxing action on Saturday, December 10, as the WBC/WBA No. 1 middleweight contender Winky Wright (49-3, 25 KOs), from St. Petersburg, FL battles the IBF’s top-rated middleweight contender Sam “The King” Soliman (31-7, 12 KOs), from Melbourne, Australia in a 12-round middleweight bout that will determine the division’s true No. 1 contender. The undercard is highlighted by local favorite and undefeated super middleweight contender Chad Dawson (19-0, 13 KOs), from New Haven, CT. Dawson is currently world-rated No. 16 by the WBC, and No. 2 by the NABF.

The action begins at 7:30pm live from the Mohegan Sun Arena and will be televised live on HBO’s “World Championship Boxing,” beginning at 10 P.M. ET / 7 P.M. PT. Tickets go on sale today, priced at $150, $90, and $50, and are available through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster. Wright, the former undisputed junior middleweight champion and the only three-belt World Champion in Division History, defeated future Hall of Famer Felix Trinidad from Puerto Rico in May. The pay-per-view fight, which was purchased by 500,000 viewers – the biggest boxing PPV in 2005 – proved to be Wright’s best career performance yet.

Most ringside media, and one judge, had him winning all 12 rounds of their WBC-sanctioned title elimination bout, while the two remaining judges gave Winky 11 of the 12. Trinidad subsequently retired for a second time after his fight with Wright. (Winky's fight-by-fight record. Link courtesy boxingrec.com. http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=003600)

Soliman has established himself as an elite middleweight contender by riding a four-year, 19-bout winning streak, including a 12-round unanimous decision over former IBO champion Raymond Joval, in July 2004, in an IBF-sanctioned title elimination bout on scores of 120-107, 120-107, and 119-108. In his most recent fight, last July, Soliman, won a 10-round unanimous decision, again almost pitching a shutout, over Fernando Zuniga. Both of these performances took place in the U.S. and helped establish him as a force to be reckoned with in the division.
