Golota charged with Unlawful Possession of 12 Guns

A report filed by the Chicago Tribune says Andrew Golota has been charged Thursday night with the unlawful possession of 12 guns. The Chicago police were called to Golota's home by a 911 call from two women.

Golota, has been charged with 12 misdemeanor counts of possessing unregistered firearms. Police Spokesman said Golota's required Firearm Owner's Identification Card had been revoked.

Police were called to Golota's home around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday by two women who said Golota had picked them up
earlier on Madison Street and Laramie Avenue and then taken to his home.

After the two women left his house, they called the Police. The Police found the Guns and then put Golota in custody. The two women had made other allegations, which made the detectives question Golota and kept him from Wednesday morning until Thursday evening. Golota has been released from Police Custody and he now has a July 19 court date..

No charges have been filed related to the women's allegations, but an investigation is ongoing, said the Police Spokesman.
